Of late, I seem to be having trouble with finding information for my posts. Now don’t get me wrong, I have loads of sources. In fact, the sheer amount of sources is the problem. What with delicious, my RSS feeds, my twitter, my friend feed, Addictomatic, and of course the indomitable Google, I find myself lost in a bewildering and overwhelming information forest. It the opposite of the old adage “can’t see the forest for the trees”. I can’t see the trees for the forest!
There has been a lot of buzz of late about “information diets”, and I never really understood until now. In order to swim in this surging information stream, you have to be able to tame the currents. I have begun to find my own ways of taming the currents:

Having read Michael Callaways excellent article entitled It’s Not Easy Being Green, I thought that I would weigh in on my own recent thoughts concerning the alleged climate crisis, and the emergence of green technologies that have resulted from this alarmist sentiment. Let me state out right that I am a conservative. I am also a capitalist. While I don’t believe that capitalism is perfect, I do feel that it is one of the best practical modalities for promoting fairness in society. I wrote a previous article on this topic, so I won’t go into my reasoning. Let it stand that I am a proponent of capitalistic society.

My week last week was pretty typical. The day starts early, I eat breakfast, study, think about blog articles, and so on. Of course, while I'm doing this, I'm also simultaneously twittering, messaging, responding to email, watching my RSS feed for the latest buzz, discovering new music, and reading articles on every conceivable topic. I'm hyped up on news, I'm an infophile, what can I say?
The tech culture and blog culture in particular demands that you be on the razors edge if you want to keep up. But what is the result of following all this minutiae? What is the price we pay for our semi-omniscience?

I was running through the de.licio.us hotlist yesterday when I came upon an article entitled “Americas most overrated Product: the bachelors degree”. The article went on to opine that for many, a secondary education is a way to waste over eight (yes, eight) years of their life only to wind up with a mostly worthless piece of paper and a staggering amount of debt.
I would have dismissed the article out of hand had it not been written by Marty Nemko, an education consultant who has worked with the presidents of 15 universities. Mr. Nemko begins his piece with a statistic that absolutely floored me:
