I’m here to tell you that coffee is very unhealthy for you. Everything is relative, of course, so it is undoubtedly healthier for your body than other energy drink alternatives. This post is written from the perspective that “some foods actually promote health while some endanger your health.” So healthiER might not be actually healthy (in the health increasing sense), just less toxic or dangerous than some alternatives. Today we’re going to talk COFFEE, so let’s dive in.

I am pretty much always on the go. Even when I am home, I’m usually working on something. That was always my excuse for not working out regularly. I didn’t have time for the gym or a work out video. I had lost some weight by watching my food intake, but that will only take you so far.

You’ve no doubt heard that the entire Fort Worth ISD is shut down for at least the next 7-8 days. More local DFW ISDs may follow suit if more child cases are discovered and announced.

It doesn’t take much to strike fear in the heart of the masses. All it takes is a scary name and a hyped up Media base. Enter the now infamous swine flu.
Be honest. What’s more frightening? A flu that’s killed one or two people in the United States, or Swine Flu? There’s a sense of defilement that comes from imagining a person contaminated with Swine Flu. It’s as if it mutates human flesh into slimy pig snouts as its victims breathe their last. There’s a very non-kosher feel to this whole deal. Pigs are typically considered filthy. To desecrate and infiltrate humanity with something so vile is fearsome to the masses held hypnotized by the Media’s fear-filled voice.
I will admit I’m wrong if it turns out I am. But for now, the swine flu is just like any other flu – mostly harmless. Here’s a little secret: it won’t actually turn you into a mutant swine. It’s a flu. Stop watching so much Sci-Fi channel.

I just Googled “Frito-Lay makes people fat.” That’s right. I did that. My search results didn’t really turn up exactly what I had hoped, but I still know that those keywords are the truth. I bet you do, too.
Judging by that statement, I’m sure you’re now plenty aware that I’m no fan of PepsiCo owned Frito-Lay. In my opinion, the food giant is right up there with McDonald’s when it comes to negligently contributing to America’s obesity epidemic. Nope, not a fan.

It’s been years since I’ve taken anything to the dry cleaners. When I realized how toxic dry cleaning chemicals are, I promptly began checking any and every tag of each item of clothing I bought. It was machine or hand wash for me or nothing. But recently, I began working my first business casual job and shopping for clothes has become a pain. All of the clothes I try on that happen to fit are “dry clean only.” Ugh. So, surely, I thought, by now there MUST be some green / healthier dry cleaning options.

In the battle of the bulge one of the greatest weapons that we have is the diet drink. You see, in the past if you wanted a sweet refreshing drink you had to have sugar. Thanks to modern science, with its unnatural and inorganic ways, this is not the case. You can enjoy a sweet refreshing drink with little or no calories. The same great taste with no sacrifice. It truly is the ability to have your cake and eat it too.
The diet soda is a breakthrough in ways few problems have the ability to be solved. Imagine if you will that it was possible to have more government spending and yet pay less in taxes. Think of the possibilities, more programs for you and me, but not taking away our hard earned money, fantastic. This is the gift that diet soda has given humanity. (more…)
