Kidd Kraddick Launches the Gas Money Tour

By Daniel Dessinger

April 21, 2008

Freddy and the Gas Money TourIf you haven't been listening to Kidd Kraddick in the Morning, a nationally syndicated morning radio show, you're missing out on history in the making. That's a bold statement, and one that may be a tad overemphasized, but those of you who enjoy being there from the beginning of a musical artist's career, you can't afford to miss out on this.

Freddy is a 21 year old college student in Pennsylvania. Three years ago, he signed a record deal with a major music label and was flown out to California to become a superstar. In a tragic twist of fate, Freddy's record label was bought out by another and his contract was dropped in the shuffle. Having abandoned college to become a rock star, Freddy came back home and began the painful process of rebuilding a life filled with disappointment.

Fast forward to the present. Kidd Kraddick somehow finds Freddy's MySpace page, hears the music, and wonders how on earth this kid hasn't already made it big. So Kidd works some magic and contacts Freddy. On live radio, Kidd Kraddick offered Freddy the opportunity to participate in a homegrown concert tour spanning this entire week, as he drives from Pennsylvania to DFW for a grand finale concert on the KKITM morning radio show.

Freddy has already topped the charts on purevolume.com and has several million hits from MySpace users wanting to hear his music.

The "Gas Money Tour" begins today in Pennsylvania, and continues with a new venue every day this week until Freddy arrives in Big D. This kid is going to be huge. That's a given. The real question is: will you be in on it from the beginning. Check KiddLive throughout the week to see if Freddy will be playing at a venue near you.

CultureFeast will be tracking this young talent to see how far he goes. If the Gas Money Tour launches his career, look for Kidd Kraddick to transition into the radio version of Simon Cowell (with better hair).

Is it just me or does that guy look like Vincent Chase from Entourage? I wonder if Turtle and Drama will be trying to hook up with all of the groupies?

  • E says:

Sorry bro, Drama and Turtle had to stay back in Philly. I wasn’t able to get off from Sbarros either. But the Freddy is awesome and is the next big thing… look out Vince Chase!
